MOUNT HOUGH TRAIL:
Pick your date and give us a call! We want to make your day special so let us know if you have any requests. We are flexible to your needs and will help however we can. On a typical day we will meet your group at Yuba Expeditions ( 550 Crescent st. Quincy, CA 95971) so riders can get a rental or their bike maintenance needs prior to the shuttle. If you are good to go, we can meet at BARLOW PARKING. Barlow parking lot is across from the Forest Service Mount Hough district office. If we pickup up at Yuba, most customers will follow the shuttle van in their personal vehicles to Barlow after we load bikes because of the convenience of proximity to the end of the trail. After we pick you and your bikes up we start up the Mount Hough Rd to the look out! It takes approximately 55 minutes to drive to the Mount Hough Lookout. Riders will want a few pictures after we drop you at the lookout so please ask if our driver hasn't already offered! The Mount Hough trail is a ripping 12 mile, 3500ft decent that is considered to be a intermediate trail to most. It is fast and flowy from top to bottom and riders of all ages and skill levels love it! Most ride groups take about an hour and half to get down the trail their first time, but more skilled riders can do it significantly faster. We suggest a full face helmet and pads because there is no harm with extra gear if you are getting a shuttle. Riders will finish the ride in the Oakland Camp area along Oakland camp road where most folks will enjoy a quick swim in Spanish Creek. The peddle from the end of the trail to their vehicles is about 3 miles on Oakland Camp and Chandler rd. Chandler is a really mellow, flat asphalt rd. that has great views of American Valley and some of the beautiful ranches that sit adjacent to it. To get the full experience of Mount Hough we suggest 2 laps. Our drivers will coordinate timing with you and make as convenient as possible. To shorten the return ride back to your vehicles we will meet your group at what we call the Green Bridge parking lot. The green bridge is at the intersection of Chandler rd. and Oakland Camp rd. We can't have you park there because of limitations to our permits but rider pickup is fine.

What else is going on in Quincy?
All kinds of good things! Expect to get a wave with a smile in town from our locals and we hope you smile back. Grab some Ice cream from the Toy Store, have a beer with you pals at one of our restaurants or relax along Spanish Creek after your ride. We take our time up here and would appreciate you doing the same when you are not on the trail. Kids may be playing on the side streets, so please be cautious when driving around town. Self shuttling is fine but please DRIVE SLOW on Chandler road!!!! Please, please, please drive slow. Groups of riders could be coming from any direction and there is no reason why they should be concerned with you hitting them. Kindness and respect to locals and the woods is the expectation and we will not settle for anything less. PLEASE SLOW DOWN and save the speed for your bike!!!!!
